Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This policy explains what happens to a bank statement you convert here, what little information the site collects, and which third parties (including Google AdSense) may set cookies while you browse.
Bank PDF Converter ("the site", "we") is operated by Md Hussain and reachable at deironhs@gmail.com. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Your bank statement files
This is the part most visitors care about, so it comes first and it is stated plainly: we do not store your bank statements. There is no user account, no upload history and no file storage bucket behind this site.
Digital (text-based) PDFs
These are processed entirely inside your browser. The PDF is opened by JavaScript running on your own device, the table is read locally, and the Excel, CSV, Tally XML or other export file is generated locally and saved by your browser. The file itself is never transmitted to us.
Scanned PDFs and photographs of statements
A scan has no text layer, so it has to be recognised as an image. Where recognition cannot be completed on your device, the relevant page images may be sent over an encrypted connection to a text-recognition service in order to be read. Those images are used only to return the recognised text, are not retained by us, and are not used to build any profile of you. If you would rather nothing left your device at all, convert the statement to a text-based PDF first, or do not upload scans.
The results shown on screen
Extracted rows, your ledger names and any corrections you make live in your browser's memory and local storage on your own device so that the review screen can remember your preferences between conversions. Clearing your browser data removes them. We cannot read them.
2. Information the site does collect
- Aggregate traffic counts. Our hosting provider reports anonymous totals — page views, country, browser and referring page. No analytics cookie is set, no profile is built, and individual visitors are not identified.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard request logs, including IP address and user agent, to serve the site and protect it from abuse. These are held by the provider for a limited period.
- Anything you email us. If you write to us, we keep the message so we can reply to it and fix the problem you reported. Nothing more.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, address, PAN, GSTIN, account number or any payment details. There is nothing to sign up for, and we never sell data — we have none to sell.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. It does use your browser's local storage to remember tool preferences (such as your chosen export format and your ledger list) on your own device.
Third parties, principally our advertising partner, may set cookies as described in the next section. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the converter will continue to work normally if you do. Every key and cookie is listed item by item in our Cookie Policy, which also has a button to change your advertising choice.
4. Advertising, including Google AdSense
The site is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and possibly other third-party advertising vendors, to display ads. The following disclosures apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- Where required by law, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are set, and non-personalised ads are served if consent is declined.
- How Google handles data from sites that use its services is described in Google's privacy and terms.
5. Third-party services we rely on
- Netlify — hosting, content delivery and infrastructure.
- Google AdSense — advertising.
- A text-recognition service — used only for scanned statements, as described in section 1.
6. Children
The site is a professional bookkeeping utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices and rights
Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests can be satisfied immediately: you can stop using the site, clear your browser storage, block cookies, and opt out of personalised ads using the links above. If you believe we hold information about you and want it corrected or deleted, email us and we will act on it within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes — for example a new export service or a different advertising partner — this page is updated and the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy can go to deironhs@gmail.com, or via the contact page. See also our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
