Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Local storage does the same job in a different place. Bank PDF Converter uses as little of both as it can get away with, and none of it holds your bank statement.

1. What this site stores itself

We set no tracking cookies of our own. What we do use is your browser's local storage, on your own device, so that the converter remembers how you like to work:

• Your ledger names and mappings — so the Tally review screen does not ask you to retype the same ledger for the same narration on every statement.
• Your chosen export format — Excel, Tally XML, OFX and so on, so it is preselected next time.
• Your advertising choice (key bpc-ad-consent-v1) — so the consent banner is not shown to you again on every page.

None of this is sent to us, none of it identifies you, and clearing your browser data removes all of it. The converter keeps working normally without it — you will just be asked your preferences again.

2. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

The site is free and is paid for by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, detect invalid traffic, and — only with your permission — personalise the ads you see based on your previous browsing.

Your choice, and what each option means

• Accept — Google may use advertising cookies, including for personalised ads.
• Decline — you still see ads, but non-personalised ones, selected from the general context of the page rather than from your browsing history.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before any advertising cookie is set: advertising consent starts as denied there and only changes if you accept. Elsewhere ads run in the standard AdSense configuration, and you can still decline at any time using the button below.

3. Analytics

We run no analytics cookie and no third-party analytics script. Traffic figures come from our hosting provider's server-side request counts, which report totals such as how many people opened the Tally guide and from which country. Nothing is stored on your device for this, and no visitor is identified.

4. Controlling cookies yourself

• Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a site; the converter will still work.
• Personalised advertising can be turned off account-wide at Google My Ad Center.
• Vendor-by-vendor opt-outs are listed at aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
• How Google handles data from sites using its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Changes and contact
